Postcard of two large salmon colored Azalea bushes with three smaller red Azalea bushes at the edge of the Mirror Lake in Bellingrath Gardens. The top edge of the postcard describes the scene as "Scene in Bellingrath Gardens, Mobile, Ala." The back of the postcard adds, "The Bellingrath Gardens are located on Picturesque Isle-Aux-Oies-River, about 17 miles from Mobile on U. S. Highway 90. The natural beauty of this estate is made more beautiful by the thousands of Azalea Shrubs, which burst into bloom the latter part of February. At the height of the flowering season the blooms completely hide the limbs and leaves of these plants. Solid masses of flowers in shades of white, pink, salmon, red, orange and cerise. This garden ranks well up among the twelve most beautiful gardens of the United States."

Postcard of a pool surrounded by trees on a hill overlooking the coast, described as "Shaw Park Gardens situated at an altitude of approx. 300 ft. then command a panoramic view of the Harbour and Town of Ocho Rios. Guided Tours are available so that the lush verdant vegetation and breath-taking views can be fully enjoyed and appreciated." The message on the back reads, "Sunday, Nov. 12 - Jamaica Mamie dear- Just this morning I realized you had a birthday on Nov. 7 (?) So this is a belated Happy B-Day card!! Jack + I are spending the month of Nov. here in our cottage by the sea - Tis so lovely. I really hate to leave but we will go back to spend Christmas with all the family then return here late January. Have not heard from you in such a long time - Hope you received the card we sent you when we were on our lovely cruise - Bestest love - Irene R." The postcard is addressed to "Mrs. Carroll E. Postcard of two houses behind a wall of lush flora. The first is cream colored with a red tiled roof. The second is two stories tall, with a balcony wrapping around the second floor, with white accents and brown roofing. The edges of the picture describe it as "Sherman and Halleck Headquarters and the Thomas O. Larkin House Monterey, California." The back of the postcard adds, "The Larkin House In 1832, Thomas O. Larkin came to Monterrey. He opened a Wholesale and Retail store, and became the first and only United States Consul to California. Next to the Larkin House, is an old adobe, built by Larkin in 1834. Here was headquartered William Tecumseh Sherman, when he was stationed at Monterey. At that time, the man who was later to be a famous Civil War General was a Lieutenant. General Halleck was also headquartered here. Sherman as a youth in Monterey, figured in one of Monterey's wistful legends."
